Review: Play Pal Music - Pals Vol 3

It's taken them more than a year since the first track was signed but in the words of Play Pal music “we are very happy to finally present the third compilation of the label (PP007)”
Pulling together a plethora of established Play Pal contributors like Thomass Jackson, Did Virgo, Teniente Castillo, Sequencers, Grabo'sky and Vox Lox they have also bought on board some belting names that are currently pushing music forward, Tici Taci boss man Duncan Gray, Club Bizarre, Future Bones, Modernphase, William Earl and Los Bikini join the gang for Volume 3 which hit the shops on 25th May.
The selection of tracks is quality and to pigeon-hole this by genre would be the wrong thing to do, it’s so much more. From “Silent But Deadly” by Grabo’sky and its electro orchestral feel to Slo Mo Chan’s far eastern harp laden beauty that is “Dragonfly” we get full original pieces of work and not re-edits of remixes.
Of course you’ve got your dance floor damagers as you would expect, “Beauty Place” by The Modernphase and William Earls “Gold Lily” would go down storm at Vanishing Point or the ALFOS parties but as I said it’s the variety which should be applauded. Play Pal music say they are happy and they should be, great stuff from Teniente and the crew
