As a 16 year old boy living in Nottingham I began a love affair with London.
I would travel down alone on the train to find SoHo. True say!
Needless to say the fascination and affection still stands, and any excuse to feel my feet in SoHo will suffice. Tonight for the first time i will eat lobster with 2 loves, my lovely Jo and SoHo. Randall and Aubin 16 Brewer St Soho Why? Because i wanted to eat lobster and it sits in Soho in an old butchers shop with lovely tiles and original hooks.
We were welcomed in and felt a genuine care from the stylish staff.
The waiter attentively swapped Jo's chair for more comfort and while we awaited my lobster (roasted with frite and accompanied by a little hook with which i eased out the hard to get to taste) and Jo's chicken with the lovely sauce which made her smile and smile again as she saw me taste something lovely for the first time.
We shared the crab cake starter... And we just went quiet apart from mmmm.
We liked the crab cake starter a lot and my lobster was lovely and Jo's chicken made her smile. I drank a lovely bottle of lager or two and Jo sipped some Prosecco, and i know we were happy with the bill as we thanked Rene and all for what was after all the first time i had lobster... X
