All Things Alfresco - Preview
To say Alfresco is a family affair is an understatement. The brain child of Mr Mark “Chinny” Davis and his partner in crime Nicky Chanot (head honcho of Deliciously Alfresco) the duo and their respective teams have lined up a jam packed summer.
Saturday 16th May sees Nicky’s Deliciously Alfresco kick things off with their launch party at the Broadway House in Fulham. The venue has a beautiful roof terrace which will host the BBQ and with 2 rooms kicking off from 4pm the launch party has all the ingredients of a special day. Room 1 has Rick Hopkins (Transition), Mr Logan Fisher (Haules Baules), Vanishing Points Marc Hasler, APM, Chinny bringing their 7's of Bliss. Room 2 has house music delights headlined Lisa Loud (it’s her birthday too), JNR TUK of Graffiti Kings Radio and Jason Bakal from Liquid Live Radio.

Lastly but by no means least the 4th July sees Alfresco take over Shapes in Hackney in their first major event outside Blackpool bringing another stellar line up to the capital.
The event comprises of two stages, the Warehouse stage containing the secretive Man Power, Crimes of the Future, Heretic, Haules Baules, Terry Childs and Vanishing Point resident Marc Hasler and an outdoor stage hosted by Neil Parnell’s Nein Records which delivers Sean Johnston, Morgan Hammer, Tronik Youth and rising star Jonah Considine
I personally haven’t been to an Alfresco run event (yet!) but one thing I have noticed from their Facebook posts and conversing with Mark regarding his other events (Check out Cowbells all dayer) is that there is an underlying set of values that drive the Alfresco family, a quality event that can be enjoyed by everyone who joins the party (young or old), which supports local organisations and gives something back (the team recently donated 100 tickets to the Victoria Hospital's children's ward for the kids and staff).
If this year’s line-up of events is anything to go by I think we’ll be hearing a lot more from Mark and Nicky and the Alfresco gang.
