Clandestino trio Joe Morris, Nick Smith and Iain Mac have been involved in the Leeds underground music scene for over 15 years they regularly throw diverse parties and bring exciting new DJ talent to town. The boys host the amazing Clandestino podcast which regularly features an incredible selection of high calibre DJ's and producers as well as their regualr show on KMAH radio.
The Clandestino booking policy saw them regularly invite Erol Alkan, Tim Sweeney, Simian Mobile Disco, Optimo and Joakim to Leeds long before they became the established acts they are today and this policy continues on Friday 4th December with the legendary Ivan Smagghe gracing the decks at Distrikt Bar in Leeds. Ivan can be found subverting the masses on any given weekend at venues such as Panorama Bar/Berlin, Robert Johnson/Frankfurt, Bugged Out & Fabric/London, Rex/Paris, Arma17/Moscow, Trouw/Amsterdam and Lux/Lisbon.

Ivan is also back on the airwaves , co-hosting CHANNELING with a certain Nathan Gregory Wilkins, a fortnightly strange feast on London’s uber-cool NTS radio.
As far as solo work his remix of VoXloW was instantly picked up by Rebolledo for his forthcoming CD; he has remixed Asphodells and has more lined up for My Favorite Robot and new partnerships with C.A.R for some Chris & Cosey type lo-fi dance music, a 12" with Simian Mobile Disco and going back to work with Ewan Pearson |
