Bloop Festival - ibiza. 20th July - 24th August
On the 20th July 2014, BLOOP Proactive Arts Festival will be launching its month long program of art and music based activities, taking place across the unique island of Ibiza, and all completely free. The official BLOOP opening party will be headlined by Riva Starr & Santos alongside Digital Genetic Pasta, The Coolness LIVE and Mila LIVE on the 20th July.
The grand opening of the BLOOP Headquaters will follow shortly after the Opening Party, kicking off on the 22nd of July, a museum of proactive art with interactive installations by Lo Spino and Xavi`s lab, a mural by Gaucholadri (winner of BLOOP x GSA contest), photography by Marc Colomines, a plant installation by Montse Nadal, an installation by Pineapple Crocodile andSilva Ramacci, and more with the aural backdrop of Digital Genetic Pasta.
The Open Air Gallery is a long-term project, where art is exhibited beneath the blue Ibizan skies, acesseible to anyone all year round, under the festival`s ethos "Art is for everybody". This year the Open Air Gallery will include murals courtesy of international artists including Agosting Iacurci, Guacholardi, Fikos, Bisser, Pekoleio, and installations from Fra. Biancoshock will also be contributing to the project. The photos below are a recently finished piece by INTI.
Each year the festival has a social theme which artists base their work on, last year the festival saw the likes of Phlegm, Cruz, Emilio Cejalvo showcasing numerous interpretations of the festivaltheme "CONTROL". This year BLOOP tackles the social theme 'THE BEST'.
